I just scored a truck load of wood chips and want to make good use of them.  My plans are to use them on paths, as mulch and to try my hand composting with them.

Does anyone have any experience or tips they can share?

If were so fortunate as to score a truck load of wood chips that is exactly the use I would put them too. They are an excellent weed suppressor and once they eventually breakdown provide good humus addition to your soil.

I'm a little late to this discussion, but I do have another use: for mulching blueberries, specifically.  The wood chips help to acidify the soil, which blueberry plants need.  I also use them on my currant bushes the same way.

Good point JamesG!    I use shavings from my chicken coop cleanings to mulch around my blueberries and it works beautifully.
