I got so busy I blew off starting my winter stuff in July like I was supposed to :(. Is there anything that can still be planted this late for winter food here in the PNW?

I do have one Aerogarden, so can quick-start some stuff indoors - plants start very quickly in that unit.

Since you are in the same general growing region as I am, I know there are a couple of things you can direct seed right now and still be successful with:

Spinach

Lettuces (leaf or butter crunch varieties)

And if you are willing to purchase some transplants from a local nursery:

Swiss Chard (give it protection when the weather turns nasty and this can last you all winter)

Bunching onions

Fast Maturing broccoli

Chinese Cabbage

Later on you can plant garlic bulbs for next year's garden.
