miss m - I will probably need to because I have at least one young lady who is a flyer! Very early on she developed her first wing feathers and learned to hop on the feeders we had at that time and fly over the tall cardboard wall we had in place. The portable dog pen is three times taller and for now is keeping them all well contained.
Sandy - As mentioned in my reply to miss m above, I had to do something different fairly quickly and so I went looking for a solution and found this. It's worked really well and I can easily move it around out of doors to pasture them on different parts of the property. It even makes a narrow long rectangular shape that will fit over my garden beds so I can have them work over a crop that has gone by in the fall!
They are looking very healthy and really are growing fast. I love the dog run set up, what an excellent idea. I can't wait to see them outside, pretty soon I suppose.
Mike - I had hoped to get them outside this weekend for their first short outing but unfortunately it was damp and cool all weekend and I had to nix that idea. If the weather cooperates, I will get them out next weekend.
Becky - I think the videos are a nice addition occassionally as they allow you to see things from a different perspective and I can do a little more narration than I might otherwise do with the written word. Glad your son enjoyed the video too. The portable dog pen has proven to be a really good idea and I can see it being very useful in year's to come as a portable pasture for them too.
